The "Climate Change Global Business Summit on Africa" is a high-level international conference that was held on March 19 and 20, 2024 at Villa Rosa Kempiski in Nairobi, Kenya. This summit builds on the significant results of the Africa Climate Summit chaired by President Ruto in September 2023, and was designed to highlight the challenges and opportunities that the African continent is facing in relation to climate change, and to promote a closer cooperation between the public and private sectors in order to address these challenges effectively.
The summit aims to catalyze a global discussion on the crucial role of industry in building a climate-resilient Africa. Through a series of plenary sessions and discussion panels, participants will have the opportunity to examine best practices, innovations and policies needed to mitigate the impacts of climate change on the African continent.
With the aim of promoting a sustainable and inclusive economic growth, the summit will also focus on identifying investment opportunities in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, water management and other key sectors. Business leaders, government officials, academics, industry experts and civil society representatives from around the world are expected to attend.
The "Climate Change Global Business Summit on Africa" aims to be a dynamic and inclusive platform for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and ideas, in order to promote concrete and collaborative actions to address the challenge of climate change and support a sustainable development in Africa.
