Today's health and economic crisis triggered by the pandemic has highlighted the urgency of adopting development models that can generate a more widespread and sustainable well-being, intervening on the territories and on the renewal processes of cities and infrastructures. The European House - Ambrosetti, in collaboration with Costim, offered an opportunity to discuss the topic of urban regeneration, as a great opportunity and strategic leverage to restoring attractiveness to cities, promoting the growth and employment within different economic sectors, pursuing objectives of social inclusion, improving the quality of life, and achieving decarbonisation and environmental sustainability.
On the occasion of the event, we also presented a study measuring the impacts of Chorus Life, an innovative real estate project and urban regeneration model - promoted by Polifin and developed by Costim - that is founded on social, technological and environmental values, and is under construction in an abandoned industrial area near Bergamo. This project represents a practical laboratory that aims at building an integrated and interconnected "city of the future", a model that may be replicable in Italy and the world.
Among the speakers: Giorgio Gori (Mayor of Bergamo); Giovanna Ricuperati (Designated President, Confindustria Bergamo); Francesco Percassi (President, Costim) e Valerio De Molli (CEO and Managing Partner, The European House – Ambrosetti). A Round Table, moderated by Silvia Berzoni (Head of foreign desks, Class CNBC), will bring together Emilio Bellingardi (Director General, SACBO), Marcello Buoncompagni (AI Lead, Microsoft Consulting Italy), Luca Valerio Camerano (Managing Director, Algebris Investments) and Jacopo Palermo (CEO, Costim).
The event "Attractiveness, growth and sustainable development for the territory. The impact of urban regeneration and Chorus Life Bergamo's case" took place on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 10AM to 12:30PM, in “phygital” format: both as a videoconference and in person, at Confindustria Bergamo's Auditorium (Bergamo, via Stezzano n. 87, Kilometro Rosso - Gate 5).
