Thanks to a consolidated presence of Italian industrial excellence, and therefore of skills and ability to collaborate with key players in the area, the economic and industrial reality of the USA offers plenty of development opportunities for Italian companies. This is the message that emerges from the Strategic Study on development opportunities for Italian companies in the US, carried out by TEHA Group in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Washington, and ICE - Agency for the Promotion Abroad and the Internationalisation of Italian Companies, which was presented by Lorenzo Tavazzi, Senior Partner of The European House - Ambrosetti and Head of the Scenarios & Intelligence Area of TEHA Group, at ‘The Italy - US Tech Business and Investment Matching Initiative’ in Washington DC, on October 25, 2024.
The study was created with the aim of offering a strategic tool available to investors and policy-makers, favouring informed decisions regarding the economic and competitive opportunities offered by the United States, with a particular focus on the sectors of Mechanics and Advanced Manufacturing, Energy, Aerospace, Life Sciences, Chemicals, and Food & Beverage. The analysis focused on the presence of Italian companies in the USA, with particular attention to development opportunities in the various American states, both in terms of settlement and trade.
The aim is to provide a clear and detailed picture, useful both for those already present in the US market and for those wishing to explore new possibilities for growth and strengthening bilateral relations. The study also provides an overview of state and federal incentive policies, such as the CHIPS Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which open further prospects for Italian investors interested in entering or strengthening their position in the US.
