In our era, the development of a
competitive and resilient society depends on two principles: broad-based
digital transformation and the growth in levels of environmental and social
sustainability of human activity. These two paradigms of growth are not only
complementary within a widely-shared vision of development, but they also
reinforce each other in a synergistic relationship. This is the vision behind
the “Digitalization and Sustainability for Italy’s Recovery” study prepared by
The European House – Ambrosetti in collaboration with Microsoft Italia.
The goal of the study, carried out by The
European House – Ambrosetti, was to examine the contribution of digital
technology to sustainable development, while identifying areas of application
and quantifying the impacts on the various aspects for Italy within the context
of the post-Covid-19 recovery.
