Great celebrations for a great event

Celebratory postage stamp

On the occasion of the celebrations for the 50th Cernobbio Forum, an ordinary postage stamp belonging to the "le Eccellenze del sapere" (Knowledge Excellence) thematic series was presented at Villa d'Este, depicting a view of Lake Como and the area that has hosted the event since 1975.

Celebrations

The passing of the Frecce Tricolore (aerobatic team of the Italian Air Force) and the traditional fireworks concluded the celebrations for the 50th Forum.

A phygital event: between Cernobbio and remote hubs in Italy and abroad

The event was held in a phygital (part physical, part digital) format with a central hub in the established venue at Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, which was connected with several hubs in other locations in Italy, Europe and the rest of the world.

In partnership with Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and with the ICE Agency, we will offer to the entire network of Italian diplomats and businesses abroad the opportunity to follow the proceedings and stay updated on global, European, and Italian scenarios.

At the same time, China will host a live streaming hub in Shanghai that will also develop local offline contents to take advantage of the time zone difference. This will be made possible thanks to the contribution of Generali, the Beijing Club for International Dialogue, and the Chinese private equity firm ClearVue Partners.

Finally, in Italy, there will be other physical and digital hubs: in Puglia, thanks to the collaboration of Banca Popolare di Puglia e Basilicata and Exprivia; in Padua, thanks to the collaboration of Cherry Bank; and across Italy, thanks to the collaboration of SACE, the Italian insurance-financial group owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and specialized in supporting businesses, which will open the Forum to Italian SMEs.

The protagonists

The Forum will be participated by several Heads of State and Government, among which: the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, via video conference; the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni; the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev; and the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán.

We are very proud that, once again this year, the US Congress has identified us as the ideal observatory for deepening transatlantic ties between Italy and the United States. In addition to the presence of Senator Lindsey Graham and the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson, we will have the honor of hosting two additional Senators and one member of the US House of Representatives.
